One of the most prestigious DP World Tour golf events, the Omega European Masters, will take place from September 5-8, 2024. It was first held as the Swiss Open in 1923, and since 1939 it has been held at Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana. In 1983, it was renamed the European Masters.

The event has created history on many occasions; Baldovino Dassù was the first golfer to score 60 over 18 holes in 1971, whereas Michelle Wie became the first woman to compete on the DP World Tour in 2006.

Thriston Lawrence is the defending champion, having defeated Matt Wallace in a nail-biting playoff in the 2022 edition.
