This event is jointly organized by the DP World Tour and China Tour; it will happen after the Volvo China Open, making the DP World Tour more prominent in this part of the world. 

Mission Hills Haikou is famous for its top-notch facilities and has previously held major tournaments, which makes it the perfect location for the Hainan Classic. 

Additionally, the Hainan Classic serves as the culmination of the Asian Swing, the third leg of five Global Swings in the opening stage of the 2025 Race to Dubai.
