The 2025 PGA Tour's most prestigious event, the Farmers Insurance Open, will take place from January 22–25, 2025. It was first held in 1952 as the San Diego Open and is one of the older events on the Tour, and every season it attracts a strong field. It is usually held in January. Since 1968, it has been held at the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course. Torrey Pines is a renowned golf course. The Farmers Insurance Open is a prominent PGA Tour stop, so the field is always strong.

The first two rounds are split between the North and South Courses, and the last two rounds are played on the South Course. In this competition, the world’s top players participated, and Tiger Woods won the competition eight times.

Last year's defending champion, Luke List, won his 206th PGA Tour tournament after finishing one stroke ahead of Jon Rahm and Jason Day.
