The ANWA has returned to Augusta National for its fourth occurrence this week. As the foremost amateur women's golfers compete for the championship title, the anticipation of an exhilarating week builds. If previous experiences are any indication, this year's event is sure to be a thrilling one.

This week the defending champion, Anna Davis, is participating in the competition with the hopes of achieving a historic milestone as the first woman to win this event in consecutive years. In the previous season, she amazed the golf community by delivering an exceptional final round while donning her trademark bucket hat, securing her place in history as the second successive junior golfer to claim victory.

The event will take place at the Champions Retreat Golf Club located in Evans, Ga., on Wednesday and Thursday. After the first two rounds of the tournament, only the top 30 players and ties will advance to the next phase. All golfers, whether they made the cut or not, will participate in a practice round at Augusta National on Friday. Finally, on Saturday, the elite group of the top 30 players will be competing over 18 holes at Augusta National to determine the winner of the championship.
